Speaker Biography

Alice designs multi-space sets for immersive experience, performance, exhibitions and bespoke events. Her designs feature detailed narrative props, atmospheric lighting and sculptural installation to create interactive worlds that heighten sensory experience. She has also undertaken expansive research and development with creative technologists working in mixed, augmented and virtual reality technologies and spatial sound design to develop techniques that enhance the integration of physical and digital realities.

She holds a PhD in Scenography, and her research explores touch experience in design practices. Central to this research is the affirmative and connective potential of touch as a foundational sensory experience, present at close proximity and across great distances.

Alice’s recent work includes set designs for Lost Origin, with Almeida Theatre and Factory42, London (2019-22), SOMNAI, a mixed reality experience for DotDotDot, London (2018), and immersive sets for commercial sector clients including a 48-hour multi-space experience for H&M in Arizona (2019), AirBnB, Google, JBL, Three and Rekorderlig.
