Virtual Reality in Education: Exploring Risk-Taking Behaviours and Prevention

Design Foundations

Aim

Round Midnight aims to educate young people on risk-taking behaviours by creating an early stage R&D programme which uses state of the art VR technology and drama techniques. Through this, teenagers can experience replications of real life scenarios and practice critical thinking and decision making.

Summary

Target Audience

Young people and students
Youth workers and teachers
Parents and guardians

Outcome

The Round Midnight team recently announced plans to develop a number of additional films that connect to the Virtual Decisions programme, while also keeping down costs. This will enable the dialogue to continue and evolve, looking at topics like mental health, county lines and healthy relationships. Their goal is to develop enough material to enable schools to cover an entire year of PSHE teaching in a way that can instil generational change.
